The name "Schlosshotels & Herrenhäuser" encapsulates much more than "just" castle hotels and manor houses. Our collection also includes country estates, city palaces, even a former monastery, and a one-time shipmaster's house... but no spoilers for the moment. The individual stories and backgrounds that our hotels have to tell are far too intriguing to be reduced to a few words in this one paragraph. That said, we have grouped all those establishments that do not meet the strict definition of “castle” together under the header "Historic Hotels". Simply choose your travel domicile according to your preferred type and learn more about the rich history of each, a history which has ultimately made it the hotel it is today.
