Schloss Kapfenstein houses sixteen individual guest rooms, lovingly furnished with antique furniture and modern comforts. Each room is named after previous owners or provides hints about its history, such as the Prince's Room, the Poet's Room, or the "Von Lengheim" and "Von Weißeneck" rooms. Each is unique in its size, architecture, and decor, exuding a special atmosphere. The dining hall is lit solely by candlelight, the rooms adorned with antiques. The hosts combine modern luxury with the flair of bygone eras. You won't find televisions or the like in this castle, which is quite intentional. Instead, you will discover copious serenity, space, and a fantastic view.

The Almásy family has always been a family of adventurers and explorers. And for six generations, they have also been hosts at Burg Bernstein. Only those who themselves love to travel know what a guest truly needs. They cook the same meals that their own family gets joy from. That's why you won't find a traditional à la carte restaurant here, but rather a set menu with a main course and dessert. In the morning, there is no buffet, but rather a breakfast served at the table in the Renaissance Hall or in the castle courtyard.

Perhaps the most famous resident of this castle was László E. Almásy, whose adventures served as inspiration for the novel and film "The English Patient," winning 9 Oscars in 1997, including "Best Picture."
